A letter written by Yvonne...

It is a delight for us to share with you that we are adopting two boys from Africa!

We never would have thought that a year ago we would be receiving two more into our family, because we were about to have three adult children and parenting in this way had concluded. Brian and I were going to be empty nesters. The Lord specifically impressed the boys on our hearts and we looked to the One who hears and responds, expectantly waiting on Him, not even knowing how to proceed. As a family we say,

"Yes, LORD, whatever You would have, it is our joy to follow You!"

In just a few months, the Lord has miraculously and clearly orchestrated our steps and timing as we walk by faith. We believe Him to provide healing in the boys' lives and the resources to bring them home.

We invite you to be apart of our journey in coming alongside our family through seeking the Lord on our behalf and believing Him to provide the significant amount of money that we don't have, because we haven't saved a penny towards this since we didn't know walking by faith would include this in the story God is writing. It has been so fun to get creative with our resources, from selling things in our house (who needs a bed frame :)), to line drying our clothes. We are grateful that we can't move this mountain and that we get to watch the Lord in His power do the impossible.

The invitation extends to you to give of your resources if that would be a joy for you.We've started a fundraiser on Pure Charity to raise the funding that we need to make our adoption a success. We have a donations goal of $35,000 that will go towards the initial cost of the adoption. Since our journey is accelerated we will need these funds in the next few months.

This is a tax deductible donation and will go directly to Bethany Christian Services to help with our families' adoption.
