Our adoption just got updated to Child Identified Posted about ago
Imagine being about 11 years old and living with the real fear that you have no family to call your own. Your future appears to be bleak. But then one day your social worker shows you some pictures of a family and reads a letter from the adults in the picture. The two adults write your name and they say, "we want you to be in our family forever." JOY JOY JOY!!!
Last week this happened in our lives. We got word that the two children we asked to adopt told their social worker they want to be adopted by us after reading our letter and seeing pictures of our family, our house, and some pictures from our day to day life.
Right now, a brother and sister are falling asleep in Bulgaria with the image of a mom, a dad, a new brother, and a new sister. What pure joy, also mixed in with some anxiety we are sure, but these two kiddos now know that a mom and dad have said YES to them.
Now, we need to go meet them in person and begin the process in Bulgaria to bring them home...to their forever family. They will now have somewhere to go and someone to love them even when they are adults. Somewhere to go on holidays. Someone to love them on good days and bad days.
Will you help us get to the next step of going to meet these two kids?
You can donate financially and/or air miles. (Unless you have an airplane that can fly us there, then you can donate the use of that, lol).
We are good with clothes, beds, toys, etc. We can financially cover day-to-day living expenses for a family growing from 4 to 6. The obstacle we face is the large and unique cost directly related to the adoption process. Our need is money to pay fees, travel costs, etc.
