We have some exciting news to share with you all! We have decided to adopt! God has been working in our hearts for quite some time and we have come to this decision through His leading. We can't wait to see how He will work in our family through this process.

Here are some of the details of our adoption so far:

• We will be adopting a child domestically, more specifically somewhere in North Carolina.

• We will be adopting a newborn or infant and are open to a child of any race. We have no preference about gender either.

• We chose our agency for many reasons. One of the main things that attracted us to them is the way they care for the birth moms and form relationships with them during their pregnancy and after the adoption is complete.

Our desire to adopt comes from a response of God’s adoption of us. We have always talked about adopting since we were dating and knew for sure a few years ago that we would adopt but were just not sure when. Over the past year, this calling has become stronger and as we have prayed and read more about adoption, we have begun to see the many ways adoption paints a picture of the Gospel. Through our praying and reading His Word it has become even more clear that God has called us to be a father to the fatherless, just has he has chosen us to be his sons through adoption. The calling felt urgent and we were excited that adoption would be how we would add to our family.

We have a fundraising goal of $16,000! The total cost for our adoption will be about $30,000 and we plan to pay the difference. Donations made here at PureCharity are tax-deductible and all funds donated will be sent to our agency, Christian Adoption Services, and used towards our adoption.
