Our home study is complete! Now we wait for our report to be written and approved!

We're excited (relieved) that we're one step closer to activating our profile...one step closer to being chosen by a brave birth mother!!! With each step we take into our second adoption process, the more giddy I become. Parenting our daughter has been a joy and an honor (it's not been without it's hard moments and struggles, mind you!). I'm so pumped to expand our family through adoption and faithfully walk this path we feel lead down.

In recent months, through our infertility struggles and the recent days of adoption "stuff", the Lord has brought beautiful words of encouragement to me through precious authors like Ann Voskamp, Lysa TerKeurst, Jen Hatmaker and most recently, Heather Avis. These women have allowed their brokenness and struggle to open them up to the restoring and healing work of God. They leaned into their Heavenly Fathwr when infertility, loss and hurt should've made them run the other direction...their encouragement has strengthened me to step out boldly in faith, knowing God will provide. Although it's been such a emotional and discouraging fall/winter...it's also been beautiful as I've grown, matured and learned so much about the unconditional love of God, and owning my brokenness and asking God to use it for His glory.

So, we wait. We wait with hope, with joy, and with anticipation knowing He will provide. 
Pray with us as we wait and continue to raise funds! Pray that we will be faithful and step out in faith when His timing is right.
