Dear Friends and family,
We are excited to announce we've begun the adoption process once again. It is an exciting journey that we feel God has called us to. Many of you are aware of our battle with infertility over the past seven years, and have faithfully prayed and gently supported us through several disappointing rounds of fertility treatments. To date, the Lord has not opened the door for us to conceive, so we’re lead to open our hearts and offer a loving home to another child via domestic adoption.
During our first adoption we often said, "It takes a village to raise a child." Jill and I experienced this first hand and believe it to be true. We saw our village rise up to support and pray for us. You are our village. You walked with us through those uncertain days of waiting and have faithfully stayed with us as we’re now raising our beautiful daughter, Lena (who’ll be 2 this spring!!). We’re grateful to our large and loving village and ask for you to pray with us yet again as we enter the adoption journey for a second time.
Having gone through this process in 2014-15, Jill and I are keenly aware of the expenses that are ahead of us. Our goal is to fund raise
$20,000 in the coming months. We realize this is a BIG number. By God’s grace and the crazy generosity of our village, every penny of our first adoption was sacrificially given at the time we needed it…so that’s some perspective. Our God is beyond BIG…and the kindness and love of our village is also BIG! It’s humbling to ask for support, but we want to allow space for God to be glorified and do what only He can do. We believe He will supply in His perfect time and way.
So, we’re putting out “the ask” once again: If God is placing it on your heart to financially support our family, we would be greatly appreciative. It may be $5, $25, $100 or $1,000. We're grateful for each and every gift that is given. Every dime you give is a dime closer to our dream of growing our family.
We respect that not everyone is in a place to give financially. Please know we covet your prayers. We would ask that everyone join us in prayer…specifically, that we'll be faithful during this process, completely open and attune to God's leading, and recklessly loving to all those we encounter on this journey. Pray God's will, not ours be done!
Thank you for your love and support! If you have any questions concerning our infertility and/or adoption journey, please don't hesitate to ask. We’re happy to share our story.
Sincerely,
Josh, Jill & Lena
