This week the baby is 33 weeks along! I cannot believe how close we are getting to meeting our little boy! The kids are getting so excited. They talk daily about their little brother and the things that they are going to do with him or share with him. We had a meeting with the adoption case worker and adoptive mom a couple days ago. It went really well. It was just a routine meeting to touch base before the little man arrives.
The ultrasound appointment last week showed that the amniotic fluid is a little high. They are monitoring this closely, but nothing else seems concerning as of right now. Pray that he continues to grown healthy and strong and that the amniotic fluid will normalize and nothing concerning will develop with that. Birth mom is having twice weekly non stress tests and monthly growth ultrasounds. Baby has been growing well!
We are going to spend this weekend getting clothes out of storage and setting up the babies room. The kids are very excited about helping. I love to watch their excitement and to see how much they love this little boy already - and they haven't even met him yet.
We are going to have a pizza party with birth mom, her family and a few friends in about a week. It will be nice to hang out with her in a more relaxed setting. She is also very excited to see all of the kids together. She has had the opportunity to meet both of the girls, but not Micah yet.
They have also set an induction date for February 18th. I was not at the appointment that they scheduled the induction, so I am not sure why they have decided to do that. It will be nice as we plan for child care for the older kids and time off work. She also has family that travels and they will be able to be there for that date as well. It is so neat to watch God work in the small stuff. Things that all of us were worried about to some degree or another God has laid to rest.
