Our family of five has a sixth stocking amid our attic-stored Christmas decorations. The name TRUE is embroidered at the top, matching the other five. Christmas 2022, Lord-willing, we'll finally hang that sixth stocking as our family of six gathers around the Christmas tree. 

We invite you to join us on this journey as we pray and work towards bringing our newborn son True home through adoption in fall/winter 2022. We are currently working with FAC Adoption Consultants to match with a birth mom. We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. 

As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. Adoption related costs can easily total $35,000-50,000. Our fundraising goal is $20,000.

How far apart will the kids be? Lord-willing, True and Glory will be about two years apart, the same spacing between our current three. We are looking to adopt a newborn. 

Are you adopting from South Carolina? FAC works with adoption agencies all over the country. We don't yet know which state we'll be matched with, but our family will spend 2-3 weeks in True's birth city during and after his birth. 

Wait, are you already matched? Nope. Living on a prayer! ;) While we've known before we were married that  adoption would be a part of our family and we've had the name True since summer 2020, True isn't here. Yet, he's real to us. By faith, we look ahead to the day that he joins our family. 

What else are you doing to raise adoption funds? The first thing we did was cut our budget. We're following Dave Ramsey and learning contentment as we trim our budget and save for True's adoption. We also have several physical fundraisers in the works for spring/summer 2022.

What do the kids think? P is super excited to have little brother! The girls don't yet understand that a new baby will be joining us soon.
