We are excited to announce that the Brintnall family is adopting a child from Haiti. We are beyond thrilled to add to our family! We have talked about adoption for a long time. Now, it is finally time to step out in faith and trust God with the details. Though it is overwhelming at times, we know that our God goes before us and stands behind us. We stand (and sometimes fall) on this promise daily.
We truly believe that adoption is close to the heart of God. It is such a good human example of what he does for us. He has adopted each and every one of us into his family through faith in Jesus and we are filled with joy. Overflowing! So much so, that we want to share his love through us with an orphan in Haiti. As God welcomes us into his family, so we stretch out our arms to welcome a child into our family. We are humbled that he would use us as a part of his greater love story to the world. We do not know who he or she is yet, but our God does, and he has had his hand on this child from the beginning.
Adopting from Haiti is very costly, so we've started a fundraiser on Pure Charity to raise the funding that we need to complete our adoption. We have a donations goal of $25,000 that will go towards the cost of the adoption. Every donation is tax deductible.
We know that this is a big goal. But we have an even bigger God, and we have been blown away by how he has provided for us thus far through his body, the church. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for considering the support of this adoption. It means so much to us...more than you will ever know. We also would like to humbly ask for your prayers! As many of you know, sometimes the adoption road can be long and hard. We believe prayer can move mountains (and we've got some big ones to move!). We are so grateful for all of your support! May God bless you as you serve him! If you would like to follow more of our story, feel free to check out our blog shinewhereyouare.wordpress.com.
With grateful hearts,

"We are called out, we are ransomed
We are not of the world we're in
We are chosen, we are blessed
To bring light to the lives of men
So Father sow your seed
Give us life in community
Wake us up from our sleep
This is Your time, this is Your place
And we are vessels for breaking
Under Your grace, we are led by Your Spirit
You have redeemed us by the blood of Your Son
Send down Your word, we are eager to hear it
Ready our hearts to carry Your love."
