Hello!

 We are Matt and Abbie Holcombe. We have been married for 5 years and for the past 2 years have been trying to grow our family and are blessed to have the opportunity to do so through adoption. Getting to this point has been an emotional and difficult road but we know that God has us where He wants us to be. Our process to start a family began in September 2018. Due to Matthew being diagnosed at a young age with Leukemia and Thyroid Cancer in 2016 (Praise the Lord he has been in remission and is healthier than ever!) we knew the effects of treatment and the ability to conceive naturally was unlikely. We still had faith in God and started fertility treatments in hopes of being able to do IVF. After failed treatments and surgeries we began to understand that God had other plans for us and our future family. We believe that God’s plans are far greater than our own and trust that he will make a way for us. This past year we have prayed for our hearts to be ready to adopt and we researched thoroughly until we were ready to take that first step. We are happy to announce that we have been accepted into an agency for domestic infant adoption!

The total expected costs of the adoption is estimated to be in the 40k-50k range. We hope to reach this goal with savings we have put aside, grants and future fundraisers. As most know having a baby is expensive and adding adoption costs are very overwhelming.  We have started this crowdfunding campaign to let others who feel led to give to be able to do so with this tax deductible donation account.

Lastly,  we ask that you pray for us and the birth mother during this time. This is a big decision for her and her baby. We are beyond grateful for the birth mother of our future child and hope that God will be working in her life during this time. We also ask that you pray for Baby Holcombe and that they will have vitality and health. Lastly, pray that God will work in everyone’s lives and that his glory will shine throughout the whole process.
