Those of you visiting this page most likely are updated on our adoption journey, that we experienced an adoption placement that fell through. We have changed our status to "Paperwork Complete" because we are back to waiting to be matched with an expectant mother. Our family profile is being reviewed by expectant mothers who are looking to place their child for adoption. We are hoping and praying that the right situation will come to us this time. We are taking a multi agency/attorney approach, meaning that we are signed up with multiple agencies and attorneys to get the most exposure as possible to expectant parents. Once we are matched again, we will know exactly how much fundraising we will need to do and will update our goal accordingly. Most likely we will need to continue to fundraise for two reasons: 1. Because we experienced a failed adoption, we had a slight financial loss. Luckily this only came out of our savings and we did not yet pull anything from our fundraising site yet. 2. If we are matched through an agency or attorney (rather than self-matched like we were previously), the expenses will be higher. So we would like to continue fundraising to be prepared for whatever those expenses may be. We appreciate each of you who have been supporting and praying for us on our journey!
