Please NOTE: By booking your own flights, you may have a different arrival/departure date to Cape Town than the group which may incur additional land costs for hotel, transportation, etc. than estimated.
Black Ex-Students of Texas, Inc. and At The Cross Global Ministries have partnered for an International Service & Exploration Excursion for Black Exes of Texas and friends to Cape Town, South Africa.
With a motto like What Happens Here Changes the World, it is no wonder that Black Texas alum desire to visit, serve, and explore one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Not only will participants visit this beautiful and breath taking city, there will be opportunities for a service project for 2 days.
Activities: 1). Explore Cape Town, Table Top Mountain, and Robins Island 2) Meet and Greet Happy Hour and 3) Youth & Entrepreneurial Empowerment Workshop for teens and young adults.
Who Can Participate in This Trip?
Nomadic Explorers: Those who desire to
explore the world with a group of passionate Texas alum who have fun and enjoy
giving back. You do not have to be a
member of the Texas Exes; friends of Black Ex-Students of Texas (non-alum) are
welcome to attend. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
2. Game Changers: Those who desire to walk out the University of Texas’ Motto, “What happens here changes the world” by volunteering with our nonprofit partners.
3. Fun People: Individuals who know what it means to work hard and play hard!

Passport (must not expire within 90 days of travel dates)
- Yellow fever vaccination
Purposed Dates of Trip: July 23 - July 31, 2016 +/- 1 day based on flight schedule.
Cost Estimate: Approximately $3,950 - $4,150 Includes land and air plus trip insurance.Land Cost: $2,350* Land cost is all-inclusive: 2 meals a day (i.e. breakfast/lunch or lunch/dinner), lodging (based on double occupancy), in-country transportation, sightseeing excursion of Table Top Mountain, and a tour of Robins Island. All other excursions are at additional cost to the participant.

Airfare: Air travel
taxes and fees are determined at the time of ticketing (approx. $1600-1800).
Trip participants are responsible for any baggage fees that may be charged
on the departure day at the airline check-in.
