Hey family and friends! We have BIG news!

We are adopting a baby boy!

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to prepare to welcome a beautiful new life into our family.

Our story is a bit different than most as we are going through this process without working with a private adoption agency. This also leaves us with less than six months to save! Our identified birth mother approached Morgan and I after a conversation Morgan and I had with her about wanting to be foster parents. Mama E decided that she wanted Morgan and I to be the baby's chosen parents! Out of all the wonderful people waiting years to be parents, Mama E chose US and we couldn't be more grateful.

From that moment, we have hit the ground running with research, phone calls, and utilizing every support we know to help us through this process. The adoption process typically takes close to a year to obtain placement of the child and then an additional six month minimum to finalize. With the time of our adoption being cut in half, we are in a position where we could use some assistance from our family and friends. 

As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can range from $20,000-$40,000 per adoption which is why we have set a goal of $15,000. This funding will assist with attorney fees in our home state and the birth mother's state, our home study with post-placement visitations, traveling expenses while in the birth mother's state and other unexpected expenses.
