Recovering People *Helping* People Recover
About this time last year some of us who have achieved long term recovery from various addictions got together to discuss what we think is the greatest need to help people get and stay in recovery. It was a no-brainer! They need a place to go between meetings and after getting out of treatment or the hospital or jail where they can be understood, loved, appreciated and helped for FREE.
That's why we created a nonprofit corporation (501 (c) 3 still pending), called ARKANSAS ADDICTION RECOVERY COALITION. Our first project will be to establish a Peer Support Center in Springdale (SPARC) and then, as the coalition grows, we seek to assist every town in Arkansas to create a Center as well.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 by asking for 100 people to donate at least $100. Any amount of donation will be appreciated, but those who donate $100 or more can have their deceased loved remembered on our large metal Art-Deco Memorial Tree inside the Peer Support Center. We will place there picture, name and dates and a short message. This would be a good way to honor someone who found recovery while alive and a way to remember those who were lost because they didn't .
Please make all donations on our website at: www.arkansasarc.org
