Saturday I experienced my first sleepless night due to the excitement of our adoption. As of Friday our profile was made available, meaning our agency could now send it to expectant parents. This didn't phase me one bit on Friday, it just felt like we were checking off one of the many items on our to-do list in this process. But Saturday, when we were with friends and had the opportunity to tell them this news, it was followed with so much excited chatter. I couldn't fall asleep Saturday or Sunday night due to this excitement that had the chance to settle into my head and my heart.
