We have been moving along with our home study, and we will be completing that part of the process this week! That will be a big step forward! Our goal was to submit our dossier to Burundi shortly after completing the home study. However, we calculated all the fees accompanying the home study completion and dossier submission, and it adds up to $12,000!! So far we've raised about $2,500 which still leaves us with a $9500 sum to pay. And the thing is, it's due by January 30th. We have been unable to apply for grants so far because we have to have a completed home study. Thankfully, we'll be able to apply soon now that we are almost done with the home study. But most grants are only awarded at certain times of the year, and many take weeks and months to get back to us about whether we'll receive the grant.
