"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8
We are less than one week away from meeting our host daughter. I feel like an expectant mother, without the labor pain, but just as exhausted, nervous and excited! We will greet the two other families who are hosting here in CO at the airport next Friday night. Please pray that God will use us to help support and encourage those families who have never hosted orphans before. Please pray for the safety of all the orphans and their chaperone who are traveling.
We received our immigration approval this past Thursday so it was mailed off Friday to be authenticated before it can be sent internationally. Praise the Lord for making the immigration approval go much quicker than anticipated. This was truly an answer to our prayers and thank you all for praying as well! God listens and God provides!
Please also pray for safety in Ukraine. On June 17, the US issued a travel advisory to certain parts of Ukraine which may affect our travel to certain regions. Looking back on our journey thus far, we know that God has been in all the details and He will continue to make a way. God used this scripture and the prayers of many friends to give me peace knowing that we are His. “Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.” (Psalm 100:3) God loves all of His children and we can trust Him to take care of us. I have given my fears to God and that is where they will stay!
Please pray for God to use the month of July for our host daughter to feel loved and welcomed into our family. Pray for our children as they learn to love another child and pray for me and Jason as we seek to be the best parents we can be to all 5 children.
Continue to pray for God’s timing and that we will glorify Him in all we say and do! When our adoption journey finally comes to an end, in God’s timing, we want to proclaim this verse from Job. “I delivered the poor who cried for help, and the orphan who had no helper.” (Job 29:12) We would never be able to proclaim that without our Heavenly Father and without you, our dear friends and family! Thank you for being our prayer partners and source of support in so many ways!
