Wow! It has been 6 months since we have updated. Just as with every adoption - there are a lot of surprises! We've gone as quickly as possible thus far. In the last few months we have gotten our approved home study finalized, finished our dossier besides just waiting for one last piece of mail! It felt like such a milestone to get our i800a approval - especially during COVID-19! There have been a lot of slow downs in the process because many offices are closed and people are needing to work remotely. We've been so grateful that our adoption process hasn't been completely halted at all. We've made progress, even during the pandemic.

Our biggest update is that we recently submitted a letter of intent to adopt a little girl with Down Syndrome. We are over the moon and so excited! While we know that anything can happen in the adoption process, we are running fully towards this little one and hope to bring her home soon. Our dossier will hopefully be off to Colombia in a few weeks to get registered so we can receive her official referral. We are so hopeful to travel in the next few months!
