Dear partner & friend,

We're interviewing candidates for our new business manager and shopping for cloth for a new bag. The SutiSana workshop hums with sewing and cutting, and Rita* is recovering from surgery, completely covered by her health insurance. This afternoon, the ladies will participate in a communal savings group (where they put away ~$10 each month), while their children participate in vacation Bible school.

For all of you who have given to make this happen, or spread the word, or purchased products, or prayed for our financial need – ‘thank you’ just doesn’t seem to say enough. For the past month, we've watched each one of your gifts come in, or caught wind of your support in other ways. And upon seeing your generosity and thoughtfulness, the same three words have come from our mouths again and again: "Thank you, Lord." It is a chorus we, and the ladies of SutiSana, will continue singing.  

With the needed funds, we are investing in becoming a more sustainable social enterprise. We are likely however to always be a hybrid business model, relying on both sales income and the generosity of supporters. We desire to grow, so that many more women can take advantage of the opportunity to leave prostitution. And we invite you to continue to be a part of making that happen! These hopeful, hard-working women are worth our faithful commitment.
