Yesterday we hesitantly sat down with the SutiSana girls to explain our financial situation and the potential repercussions for them. We were concerned about their response. Would they be angry and competitive, fearful and frantic?
We read through the story of Exodus, once again remembering our own liberation and the Lord's faithfulness each step of the way. As we face our own "Red Sea," we were challenged to NOT BE AFRAID, to STAND FIRM and WAIT for the Lord. (Ex. 14:13-14).
I was so blessed by our girls. They sat calmly, listening thoughtfully in agreement. There was no hopelessness or fear, but rather a mature recognition of their own possibilities and the Lord's goodness. Rita and Fiona were bursting with ideas. Even Ada had her own simple way of contributing. It was a confirmation of the Lord's work in their lives. And we are confident that the Lord will again be victorious!
