56,000 Meals for Rwanda Birthday Campaign
by Africa New Life Ministries 9K Lives Impacted Rwanda
Hi, We are Pamela and Kelli. We are best friends and share many things including our deep love of these things: Jesus, family, Africa New Life Min...
God moves our hearts in many ways and at different times, but with our recent trip to Rwanda I really felt what Kelli had already experienced, food is hope. How can you dream if your mind is fixed on your growling stomach, how can you sleep well at night if hunger is calling to you. And so we asked, what is the cost of a meal, a nutritious meal, 83 cents, change at the bottom of our purse or stuck in our car cushions. So as we prayed about this number we decided that we are both turning 56 this year and because we are not getting any younger and we are big dreamers, we would like for you to join with us to buy 56,000 meals. Wow, that's a lot you might say, but if we attack it together then we know we can do it. So whether you can by 1 or 10 ($8.30), 100 ($83.00), 1,000 ($830.00) or some other number. Why not dream with us and let's serve 56,000 meals together so there will be a few less hunger pains keeping a child up at night. - Pamela
Africa New Life's Food and Care program helps to provide school lunches in some of their communities to children in Rwanda who otherwise would get little or no food to eat. These children work hard and are dedicated to doing well in school so they can improve their families' situations and give back to their country when they grow up.
An average meal in Rwanda costs $0.83, which means $25 provides food for a child for a month (30 meals). Feeding children and families is an extension of the gospel and provides students the stability and consistent nutrition necessary to complete their education.
Every donation made will help bring food to Africa New Life schools throughout Rwanda. Please consider joining us by prayer or by making a donation so we an reach our goal of 56,000 meals ($46,480) in 56 days!
Thank you for helping us make a difference!
